Marc de Champagne is a grape marc spirit which, like champagne, is only made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes in the French Champagne region. The popular Leysieffer sugar crust provides the "crowning" finish.
The champagne taste comes from the champagne syrup swirls, mixed within the vanilla ice cream. I really like the taste, as it tastes like a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream placed inside a glass of champagne.
