The Mokaya Plantation is located in the Chiapas region in Mexico, which sits alongside the Guatemalan border. Nearly 2,000 years BC, the Mokayas – indigenous fishermen – were making drinks from cocoa pulp and beans; the first “chocolate” in the world, now known as “kakawa”. Beans from this plantation have enabled us to create an exceptional organic 66% cocoa dark couverture chocolate with notes of exotic fruit, roasted cocoa and dried fruit.

For three generations, the CLUIZEL family has evolved amidst fragrances of chocolate. With the help of skilled Cacaofèviers, Confectioners and Chocolate Makers, the family carries on with their tradition where everything started in Damville, Normandy.
