SICOLY’s frozen and sweetened green apple purée is made from Granny Smith apples picked at optimum ripeness in our producers' orchards in the Côteaux du Lyonnais. Depending on harvest yields, an additional supply from the Rhône-Alpes is also possible.
The fresh green apples selected are processed into fruit purée here in our production facilities. The pulp obtained is then de-aerated in order to eliminate any risk of micro-oxidation.
Who is SICOLY?
The SICOLY cooperative (SIca des COteaux du LYonnais) was created in 1962 with the coming together of a number of producers for the purpose of promoting their fruit on the French national market.
Today, the SICOLY - SICODIS cooperative group has over 150 member producers who cultivate and harvest 10,000 tonnes of premium quality fruit on 570 hectares of orchards every year.
The fresh green apples selected are processed into fruit purée here in our production facilities. The pulp obtained is then de-aerated in order to eliminate any risk of micro-oxidation.
